I'm so horrible at keeping up with blogs. But I can't believe I didn't post this before!
If you haven't noticed, both of my books got a makeover.
However, I haven't been able to get the new cover for SOMETIME AFTER MIDNIGHT on the paperback edition just yet. Apparently, you can't have text on the spine of a book if it's under ninety-nine pages.
So, I'm writing another story to add on to the end of the book.
It's titled THE MAW, and it's about a navigator on a spaceship who is bored with her life. She feels like every day is exactly the same. Until it really is. And then Nami has to take on a new challenge; navigating out of a temporal loop.
I have exciting news for INTO THE FORGOTTEN FOREST, as well!
I've been chosen to participate in the beta for print books through Draft2Digital (who I publish through now). As of today, the book is still in the "Preparing Manuscript" phase, which could take a few more weeks. They take a lot of time and care with each book, and they're an absolute pleasure to work with. For anyone going indie, I HIGHLY recommend their services.
They aren't a vanity press. They don't get paid until you do. And they do things like auto format your novel, and set up the front matter for you.
It's wonderful, and I plan on using them for many years to come!
I also plan on doing a reading of the first chapter of INTO THE FORGOTTEN FOREST soon. The date and time are TBD, but I'll make sure to keep everyone posted on here, Twitter, and Instagram.
